The tiny world of these strong legged jumpers as always mesmerized my youth and still does to this day. I have fond memories of poking holes in the top of an old plastic jar of JIF to catch these critters in. Thanks Mom for all those times you laboriously washed of the labels for my viewing pleasure.

i'm still washing the labels off of the jif jars, not sure why, maybe for the grandkids.
those grasshoppers are cool in photos, just keep 'em out of my garden.
